Top 5 Fundraising Tips!

All your fundraising efforts, big or small, are truly appreciated and go towards programs that help people with muscular dystrophy to live their best lives. We’ve got 5 of our favourite fundraising tips and ideas to help you hit your goal!

1. Set a fundraising goal, and make a self donation!

Let everyone know what you’re aiming for, and that you need their support to hit your goal! Set the standard for generosity, and make a self donation to encourage family and friends to support you.

TIP! Have a connection to neuromuscular conditions? Share your story on your fundraising page, so everyone can see why you’re getting involved!

2. Spread your fundraising page far and wide, use your fundraising resources to help!

Reaching your fundraising goal is easier when you use your Fundraising Resources. These include email and social media templates, social tiles and loads more! Start with your closest family and friends, then reach out beyond your inner circle. Use your Fundraising Resources to create a social media post and share why you’re participating in Big Red Roll & Stroll. Your fundraising resources will help your posts stand out!

TIP! Don’t use social media? Share your fundraising page via group chats and ask your family and friends to share your page too.

3.  Ask your workplace to match your fundraising efforts!

Too scared to ask the big boss for support? Don’t worry, we can help! Use our pre-written letter to share with management or HR, to ask them to support your fundraising efforts. This can include dollar matching your fundraising efforts, making a donation to your page, or simply allowing you to promote your fundraiser within the workplace!

4. Print your fundraising goal poster and decorate the community!

Decorate your workplace, local gym, or local community boards with your fundraising goal poster. The more people that know about your goal, the more donations you’re likely to get!

5. Say thank you!

Each week, update your followers or community on your fundraising progress, and publicly thank your donors for their donations. This is a great way to keep everyone up to date, encourage more donations, and thank your incredible community for their support.
