Ryde AUSSI Masters Swimathon

The Annual Ryde AUSSI Masters Swimathon is back and this year we are doing this to support kids and adults living with neuromuscular conditions!

Date: Monday, 15 May 2023

Venue: Ryde Aquatic and Leisure Centre

Time: 6:30pm-8:30pm

The event will once again be a relay race where swimmers will be put into teams of at least four people. Each team will swim 50m continuously in a relay format for 1.5 hours.

 

Participation is open to ALL, so please contact us if you would like to join! We'd love to have you.

 

This year we are once again raising funds for Muscular Dystrophy NSW, a cause that is quite close to some of our members as they have family who have suffered with this rare disease. Muscular Dystrophy is a neuromuscular, genetic disorder which results in the progressive deterioration of muscle strength and function. Muscular Dystrophy is the name of one of many different neuromuscular conditions.

 

This event is a joint fundraising event with funds being donated 50/50 between Muscular Dystrophy NSW and the Ryde AUSSI Masters Swimming.
